Frozen Pipe Repair in Edmonton

24/7 Emergency Frozen Pipe Repair, Backed by Our “Fixed Right or It’s Free” Guarantee

When a pipe freezes in an Edmonton winter, the window between “no water” and “burst pipe flooding your basement” can be short. We’ve been responding to frozen pipe emergencies across Edmonton, Sherwood Park, St. Albert, Leduc, Spruce Grove, and Fort Saskatchewan since 1998, and our team is available around the clock every day of the year. Every repair is backed by our “Fixed Right or It’s Free” guarantee.

If your pipes are frozen right now, don’t wait to see what happens when they thaw. Call (587) 742-1359 and we can dispatch a technician to you immediately.

How to Tell If You Have a Frozen Pipe

The most common early sign is a faucet that produces only a trickle or nothing at all. One diagnostic question narrows things down fast: Is it one faucet or several?

If a single faucet is affected, the freeze is likely isolated to that supply line. If multiple faucets throughout the home show reduced pressure, the problem is probably closer to the main line or a shared section of the system. That distinction tells us where to look first and can help us restore your water faster.

Uninsulated pipes can freeze once outdoor temperatures reach around -6°C. After any night that dips below -10°C, it’s worth checking your faucets first thing in the morning, especially on lines that run along exterior walls or through unheated spaces.

What Happens During a Frozen Pipe Repair

Our technicians locate the frozen section by checking for reduced flow, frost on exposed pipe, or by tracing the line through colder areas of the home like crawl spaces, garages, and utility rooms. Once the freeze is found, we thaw it using controlled heat, not open flame, which risks fire and can damage the pipe itself.

Here’s why it’s worth having a professional handle the thaw: A pipe that’s already cracked behind a wall or inside a crawl space can release a significant amount of water the moment it softens. We locate and repair any damage before restoring full flow, not after. Most small pipe repairs are completed in a single visit.

Pipes That Freeze Most Often in Edmonton Homes

Edmonton’s cold snaps hit certain parts of a home harder than others. Any pipe running along an exterior wall, through an unheated crawl space, or inside an attached garage carries a higher freeze risk. After a long stretch of extreme cold, basements and utility rooms also become common problem areas, particularly with older copper or galvanized lines that lack insulation.

Why Edmonton Homeowners Call Always Plumbing & Heating

Technicians we send to your home are certified, background-checked, and drug-tested. With 17 service trucks running across Edmonton and the surrounding area, we have the capacity to respond quickly even during the busiest stretches of a cold snap.

Our A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and more than 3,700 five-star reviews reflect what our customers actually experience.
